Please join us on Saturday, September 30, 2017, as we bring awareness to the great works of the Georgia Transplant Foundation and the sixth year celebration of Brandon Hayes’ living donor liver transplant. After being diagnosed with acute liver failure, Brandon and his mother, Cheri, successfully underwent an adult-pediatric split liver transplant at Emory Hospital during October of 2011. Today Brandon and Cheri are doing well. However, this six year journey has not been without its share of health scares, but the resiliency with which Brandon faces each day makes him an excellent spokesperson for the need to make more citizens aware of the mission and vision of the Georgia Transplant Foundation.
To make it possible for others who are in need of a transplant to receive the same wonderful care Brandon and his family received that was critical to his surgical success, we will be hosting a charity 5K walk/run in honor of Brandon in the Brooks Mill Subdivision on September 30, 2017 from 8am-10am. Proceeds from the race will go to the Georgia Transplant Foundation in honor of Brandon. We gladly accept monetary and in-kind donations to make the 5K a memorable event for all.
Family, friends, neighbors and supporters, please come out and take part in our community support of Brandon Hayes and the Georgia Transplant Foundation. Participants are encouraged to car pool due to parking limitations.
Race Begins: 8:00am
Early Registration Ends September 4, 2017. Grab a friend and join in!
