Swing Easy, Hit Hard Charity Golf Tournament

The Swing Easy Hit Hard Charity Golf Scramble was established in 2010, initially as a fundraiser to cover medical expenses through Kirk's Georgia Transplant Foundation Account.  The Charity Golf Scramble is held every year in late April and has raised over $89,000 to support other organ transplant patients and their families through the Georgia Transplant Foundation.

In September 2009, at the age of 37, Kirk Franz was diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) and bile duct cancer.  Kirk received a liver transplant on May 20, 2010 and had two more abdominal surgeries over the next two weeks to minimize the chances of cancer returning. Kirk has fully recovered and he and his wife, Shannon, are active in Georgia's organ transplant community and are liver transplant mentors for GTF.

The Swing Easy Hit Hard Charity Golf Tournament is scheduled for Thursday, April 20 with a shotgun start at 1:00pm. The event will be held at the Windermere Golf Club, in Cumming, GA. Sponsorships, individual golfer spots and foursomes are available. If you or your company is interested in sponsoring this Community Partner Group event, please e-mail SEHHgolf@gmail.com or visit www.swingeasyhithard.org for more information.
